Abstract:
Marcos & I verified that FPIX2.1 can operate with the "wrong sign" input (collecting holes instead of electrons). Vth0 is set to a higher number than Vref. The comparator outputs are normally high instead of normally low & the hit logic works on the trailing edge of the (negative going) comparator outputs.

The scope picture shows the smalllest input for which we managed to get stable, noise-free, operation. (Vth0-Vref) = 4, if I remember correctly. The input pulse (yellow) is 80 mV, or about 1600 e-.
